The Ceylon tea museum
The history of Ceylon tea is well laid out in this disused
four storey tea factory sitting on top of the Hanthane hills, about three
kilometers from kandy city. Exhibits include old item of machinery used for tea
production, a well-stocked library and an auditorium with facilities for audio
visual presentations. A selection of srilanka’s fine tea is available for sale
while the fourth floor restaurant commands a panoramic view of the kandy city
and the operated by the sri lanka tea board and the planters association of
ceylone, the museum is open to visitors throughout the year, expect on Mondays
and poya days. Tickets are 650 for overseas visitors.
